भगवद गीता अध्याय 13, क्षेत्र-क्षेत्रज्ञ विभाग योग — श्लोक 26

यावत्सञ्जायते किञ्चित्सत्त्वं स्थावरजङ्गमम्।

क्षेत्रक्षेत्रज्ञसंयोगात्तद्विद्धि भरतर्षभ॥ 26॥ 

शब्दार्थ

यावत् — जितना भी, जो कुछ भी, सञ्जायते — उत्पन्न होता हैकिञ्चित् — कोई भी, सत्त्वम् — प्राणी, जीव, स्थावर — अचल (वृक्ष, पर्वत आदि), जङ्गमम् — चलने-फिरने वाले जीव, क्षेत्र — शरीर, प्रकृति, क्षेत्रज्ञ — आत्मा, शरीर का जानने वाला, संयोगात् — संयोग से, मिलन से, तत् — उसे, विद्धि — जानो, समझो, भरतर्षभ — हे भरतवंशियों में श्रेष्ठ (अर्जुन)

भावार्थ : 

अर्जुन, इस दुनिया में जितनी भी चीजें पैदा होती हैं—चाहे वह पेड़ हों, जानवर, पक्षी या इंसान—सबका जन्म तभी होता है जब शरीर और आत्मा का मिलन होता है। हर जीव का अस्तित्व इसी शरीर (जिसे गीता में 'क्षेत्र' कहा गया है) और आत्मा (यानी 'क्षेत्रज्ञ') के साथ आने से है। असल में, जीवन वही है जब आत्मा शरीर में बसती है।

सोचकर देखो, ये पूरा जगत भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की अद्भुत रचना है। हमारा शरीर तो मिट्टी, पानी, आग और दूसरे प्रकृति के तत्वों से बना है, लेकिन आत्मा—वह तो भगवान का ही सनातन अंश है। आत्मा जब तक शरीर में रहती है, तभी तक जीवन है।

भक्तिमय चिंतन

इस श्लोक से हमें एक सीधी सीख मिलती है—किसी भी जीव को सिर्फ उसके शरीर से मत आंको। हर एक के भीतर वह दिव्य आत्मा है, जो भगवान का अंश है। इसी वजह से हर प्राणी के प्रति दया, प्रेम और सम्मान जरूरी हो जाता है। सब सिर्फ नाम, रूप, शरीर के आधार पर अलग नहीं हैं—भीतर सब एक ही परमात्मा से जुड़े हैं।

जब इंसान यह समझ लेता है कि हर जीव में भगवान का अंश है, तो उसके मन से बैर, नफरत जैसी बातें धीरे-धीरे खत्म होने लगती हैं। ऐसा व्यक्ति हर जगह श्रीकृष्ण के दर्शन करने लगता है, उसकी भक्ति और गहरी हो जाती है, और वह भगवान के और करीब पहुंच जाता है।

राधे राधे! 

जो सच्चा भक्त हर जीव में भगवान का अंश देखता है, उसी पर भगवान की खास कृपा बरसती है, भले वह संसार में रहता हो, फिर भी ईश्वर उसके सदा करीब होते हैं।

Verse 26

Whatever comes into being, whether immobile or moving,

Know, O best of Bharatas, that it is born from the union of the field and its knower.

Devotional Meaning

Arjuna, greatest of the Bharatas! In this world, all living beings—whether immobile like trees or mobile like animals, birds, humans, and others—are created through the union of the field (the body) and the knower of the field (the soul). Understand this truth: Life expresses itself only through the coming together of body and soul.

Devotional Reflection

This entire world moves by the wonderful arrangement of Lord Krishna. The body is formed from elements of nature—earth, water, fire, and so on—while the soul is an eternal part of God himself. Life appears only when the soul resides in the body.

This verse teaches us not to judge any creature just by its body. Within every living being dwells the soul, a divine spark from God. So, we should nurture feelings of compassion, love, and respect toward all living creatures.

When a devotee realizes that the shadow of the Supreme dwells in every living being, all hatred in their heart fades away, and they see Lord Krishna in everyone. This vision deepens devotion and brings the soul closer to God.
