Everywhere is God! Bhagavad Gita Chapter 13 Verse 14 (Hindi & English)

 

संस्कृत श्लोक:

सर्वतः पाणिपादं तत् सर्वतोऽक्षिशिरोमुखम् ।
सर्वतः श्रुतिमल्लोके सर्वमावृत्य तिष्ठति ॥

तत् = वे (परमात्मा)
सर्वतः पाणिपादम् = सब ओर हाथ और पैर वाले हैं (और)
सर्वतः अक्षिशिरोमुखम् = सब ओर आँख, सिर और मुख वाले हैं (तथा)
सर्वतः श्रुतिमत् = सब ओर कान वाले हैं (और)
लोके = संसार में
सर्वम् = सबको
आवृत्य = व्याप्त करके
तिष्ठति = स्थित हैं।

 

हिंदी अर्थ :

वह परमात्मा (परब्रह्म) सर्व ओर हाथ-पैर वाला है, सर्व ओर आँखें, सिर और मुख वाला है तथा सर्व ओर कानों वाला है। 

वह इस संसार में सबको व्याप्त करके स्थित है। सरल समझ: इस श्लोक में बताया गया है कि भगवान किसी एक रूप या स्थान तक सीमित नहीं हैं।

 वे हर जगह उपस्थित हैं—हर दिशा में, हर जीव और हर वस्तु में उनकी उपस्थिति है।

ENGLISH: 

Sarvatah paanipaadam tat sarvato-akshi-shiro-mukham |
Sarvatah shrutimat-loke sarvam-aavritya tishthati ||

Word-by-Word Meaning:

• Tat = He (The Supreme Soul)
• Sarvataḥ pāṇipādam = has hands and feet everywhere (and)
• Sarvataḥ akṣi-śiro-mukham = has eyes, heads, and mouths everywhere (as well as)
• Sarvataḥ śrutimat = has ears everywhere (and)
• Loke = in the world
• Sarvam = everything
• Āvṛtya = pervading
• Tiṣṭhati = exists.

English verses:

The Supreme God—Parabrahma—has hands, feet, eyes, heads, mouths, and ears everywhere. He fills the world and touches everything. What this really means is that God isn’t boxed in by any shape or location.

 He’s all around us. Every direction you turn, every living thing, every object—you’ll find him there.
