श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता अध्याय 13 श्लोक 2-3 का अर्थ | शरीर और आत्मा का असली ज्ञान (Kshetra Kshetrajna Explained)

भावार्थ:

श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुन से कहते हैं— 

यह शरीर एक तरह का "क्षेत्र" है, जैसे कोई खेत, जहाँ हम अपने कर्मों के बीज बोते हैं और उनके मुताबिक सुख या दुख का फल मिलता है। 

 

जो इंसान समझ जाता है कि वह खुद सिर्फ शरीर नहीं है, बल्कि शरीर का देखने वाला, अनुभव करने वाला है— ऐसे व्यक्ति को ज्ञानी लोग "क्षेत्रज्ञ" कहते हैं, यानी क्षेत्र को जानने वाला। 

 

इसका मतलब साफ है— शरीर बदलता है, लेकिन इसे जानने वाली आत्मा सदा रहती है, बिल्कुल अलग और स्थायी।

विस्तृत भावार्थ:

श्रीकृष्ण यहाँ अर्जुन से कहते हैं — 

सुनो अर्जुन, हर शरीर में “क्षेत्रज्ञ” के रूप में मैं भी मौजूद हूँ। मतलब, हर जीव के भीतर एक तो उसकी अपनी आत्मा होती है और साथ में भगवान भी बसते हैं।

 

जो इंसान इस फर्क को समझ पाता है — शरीर क्या है, आत्मा क्या है, और परमात्मा का उसमें क्या संबंध है — वही सच में ज्ञानी है। असल ज्ञान यही है, मैं यही मानता हूँ।

ENGLISH

Shri Bhagavan speaks:

Idam shariram kaunteya kshetramityabhidhiyate.

Atadyo vetti tam prahuh kshetragya iti tadvidah. 13.2॥

Meaning:

Shri Krishna says to Arjun-

This body is a kind of "field", like a field, where we sow the seeds of our actions and get the fruits of happiness or sorrow accordingly.

The person who understands that he himself is not just the body, but is the observer and experiencer of the body – such a person is called by knowledgeable people as “Kshetragya”, i.e. one who knows the field.

Its meaning is clear – the body changes, but the soul that knows it remains forever, completely separate and permanent. 

Verse 13.3

Kshetragyaam chapi maa viddhi sarvakshetreshu bharat.

Shri Krishna says to Arjun here –

Listen Arjun, I am also present in every body as “Kshetragya”. Meaning, every living being has its own soul and along with it God also resides.

The person who is able to understand this difference – what is the body, what is the soul, and what is the relationship of God in it – he is truly knowledgeable. This is the real knowledge, this is what I believe.
