श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता – अध्याय 13: क्षेत्र-क्षेत्रज्ञ विभाग योग | श्लोक 1

🔷 अर्थ:

अर्जुन भगवान श्रीकृष्ण से कहता है, “हे केशव, मैं जानना चाहता हूँ—यह प्रकृति क्या है, पुरुष कौन है, शरीर (क्षेत्र) क्या होता है, आत्मा (क्षेत्रज्ञ) कौन है, और असली ज्ञान और जानने योग्य चीजें क्या हैं?”

इस श्लोक में अर्जुन साफ-साफ अपनी जिज्ञासा सामने रखता है। उसे असल में रुचि है कि शरीर और आत्मा का रिश्ता क्या है, प्रकृति और पुरुष का अर्थ क्या है, और ज्ञान आखिर है क्या—जिसे जानना सच में जरूरी है। वो चाहता है कि श्रीकृष्ण इन गहराई वाले विषयों को ठीक से समझाएँ, ताकि उसे असली सत्य समझ में आ सके।

ENGLISH 

Srimad Bhagavad Gita – Chapter 13 (Kshetra-Kshetrajna Division Yoga), Verse

Arjuna said:

Nature and the Purusha, the field and the knower of the field.

I wish to know this, O Kesava, knowledge and that which is to be known.

🔷 Meaning:

Arjuna says to Lord Krishna, “O Keshava, I want to know—what is this nature, who is Purusha, what is the body (kshetra), who is the soul (kshetragya), and what are the real knowledge and knowable things?”

In this verse, Arjuna clearly expresses his curiosity. He is really interested in what is the relationship between body and soul, what is the meaning of nature and man, and what is knowledge after all—which is really important to know. He wants Sri Krishna to explain these profound subjects properly, so that he can understand the real truth.
